It is 52 kilometers away from Taxco, and is 2 kilometers long. A tour of this place usually takes 2 hours. Ixcateopan is the burial place of the Last Aztec Emperor, Cuauhtemoc. It is almost 28 miles away from Taxco, and you can go on a guided tour to Ixcateopan.

In May, you can enjoy the Alarconian Theatrical Festival in Taxco, and if you plan to visit it in November, you can buy silver at discount rates as the National Silver Fair is held here every year in this month. This city has much in common with the ancient city of Zihuatanejo as far as architecture in concerned. Both places have the same colonial style of houses and cobble stone streets. Hotel Villa Mexicana is a good destination when touring different places in the state of Guerrero. It is advantageously located what it makes this spot an easy access to a large number of attractions.
