Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo Mexico

Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo are sometimes referred to as two resorts in one. They are both located in the state of Guerrero, at a distance of 150 miles from Acapulco, and they set the standard for any resort in the area. 

Indeed, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo are two resorts in one, as they are closely linked geographically. However, they are quite different in terms of lifestyle. While Ixtapa is quite modern, Zihuatanejo is more traditional, and is a Mexican village.

Ixtapa has a very modern style with all the luxury for visitors, and serves as a contrast to Zihuatanejo that is known for its Italian and Swiss immigrants. You can easily make out the difference between the two resorts when you experience the service as well as the way that people deal with you as well. This is in no way a disadvantage, as you get to experience the best of both worlds when you come to these twin resorts.

Though both Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo are both places that are appreciated by those who visit, it is the latter that people return to year after year for its natural color; Zihuatanejo seems to be the bigger attraction here though Ixtapa is no less with its luxury provisions. An interesting feature of Ixtapa is that it has a very lively side to it, and nightlife is particularly more attractive for those who like to party at night.

Both Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo have an interesting surrounding, but Zihuatanejo is believed to be the more attractive of the two with the Sierra Madre Mountains in the back ground, and the contrasting Pacific waters in the foreground. It is these waters that largely provide all the activities out doors. Some of these include travel and beach activities, scuba diving, bay cruises, deep-sea fishing, etc. Therefore, it can be said that a great deal of activities here depend on water facilities.
